Hotel Zed, named one of the Top Five Most Instagrammable Hotels in World by TripAdvisor, has come to world-famous Tofino, British Columbia and we need a Rebellious Assistant Manager to help us make it MIND BLOWING. As a lead Rebel at this resort your domain will include all things hotel, opened in August 2020, swanky staff accommodations, a surf shack-style restaurant opening in May 2021 and a plethora of downright unordinary guest experiences that we haven't even mentioned yet. As our Assistant Manager you are responsible for assisting the General Manager (GM) in all aspects of operations at our hotel including front desk, security, guest satisfaction, and efficient operations in our totally hip hotel. You support Guest Services in achieving revenue targets and help manage controllable expenses. You will work closely with our Housekeeping teams, getting them set up for success. On other days, it's working alongside the guest service agents at the front desk, manning the phones and helping with check ins and outs and assisting our maintenance team. You help your GM hire, train, lead, develop, coach, manage, and direct an engaged team to contribute to creating a ridiculously fun workplace. You have the leadership and skills to be successful in supporting the management of complex hotel operations and inspire and coach their employees to their full potential. You help implement and model all our values, missions, policies, standards, and regulations. You are genuine, approachable, contributing member of your workplace, and you really care about people. You have a colourful personality, a positive and upbeat attitude, and a great sense of humour. You are a leader of our Zed team, leaving positive, lasting impressions with our guests and you are a big part of what makes Hotel Zed the most awesome place to work in B.C! Your Experience * Degree or diploma in Business, Hotel Management, Tourism or Hospitality, and a minimum of four (4) years of demonstrated success in Hotel Operations. Combination of education and experience is considered. * Leadership, integrity, and effective coaching skills. * Demonstrated success building and motivating a team while creating and maintaining a respectful and productive work environment.
